Campus walking tours depart promptly within minutes of the listed tour time. Be sure to give yourself extra time to ensure your group has sufficient time to reach Quarry Plaza for the start of your tour. Parking options at the UC Santa Cruz campus may be impacted during peak times of the year. Peak months are generally mid-March-April and October- November.

A valid UCSC permit or ParkMobile payment is required to park in all parking spaces on campus.

Visitor Parking Permits: Visitors may purchase a temporary one-day permit for $10.00 from the Main Entrance of the UC Santa Cruz campus at the intersection of Bay and High Street on Coolidge Drive, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A map of booth locations is available here.

Hourly Parking with Parkmobile: To most easily facilitate your hourly parking needs on campus, register for a ParkMobile account on your smartphone. You can download the app or access it using your browser. Those who prefer may call 877-727-5718 to pay by phone. Cell service can be unreliable in some locations, so please set up your ParkMobile account before arriving on campus.

College Nine

We recommend purchasing hourly parking in the designated Parkmobile spots located at the rear of Hahn Lot 101If those parking spaces are filled, your next best option is to park at East Campus Athletics & Recreation Lot 103A

Directions to Hahn Lot 101: Enter the Main Entrance of the UC Santa Cruz campus at the intersection of Bay and High Street. Head north on Coolidge Drive for .4 miles. Turn left onto Hagar Drive for 1.1 miles. At the stop sign, turn left onto Steinhart Way and then turn left onto Hahn Rd to enter the parking lot.

If you have purchased a one-day parking permit, you may park in any of the unmarked spots. If you are going to pay hourly with Parkmobile, look for the signs towards the rear of the lot on your right.

Disabled and Medical Parking: Limited medical and disability spaces are available at Quarry Plaza. Please refer to this resource for the most up-to-date parking options. If someone in your party has mobility issues, please contact visits@ucsc.edu at least seven days prior to your visit. DMV placards are not valid in spaces reserved for departments, individuals, contractors, carpools or vanpools, or in lots solely designated for “C” permit holders.

Cropped

Check in for your tour at Quarry Plaza. From the parking lot, walk back toward Steinhart Way via Hahn Road. At the intersection, cross Steinhart toward the big rock in the middle of the plaza. Look for the big yellow sign that says, “Tour Check-in Here.”

Large Vehicles

Parking for large vehicles, such as limos and buses, is limited to the Barn Theater lot at the base of campus. You must contact the TAPS Event Parking Coordinator at least 5 business days in advance. Charter buses should review the information under Charter Bus Parking for loading and unloading information.
